Tech School currently has eight students; each student first receives a general knowledge base, and then depending on where strengths are shown, students are progressed towards a specialty of which they will occupy when they graduate and enter into an employment-role with Idea Vessel. By providing opportunity to impoverished youth, Tech School ultimately will provide impact to the local economy and unlock some of the bright young minds that would might otherwise get lost.
When we look back at the end of our lives, we won’t think about the websites we built or money we made, but rather we’ll think about how we impacted our communities and raised up the next generation to take our place. This is exactly how we view Tech School - not at all a nice, charitable thing to make us feel good about ourselves, but rather a legitimate mechanism for changing the trajectory of young lives through education and career-planning. In the beginning, we’ll take students who don’t even have enough money to take the bus to our office, and we’ll provide them with enough financing to come and go while also eating; they’ll also have a laptop to learn and work from, starting with he absolute basics, taking them on a journey that ends with them able to professional work for Idea Vessel or any agency globally (if you can work for us, you can work for anyone). Tech School is the portal to sustainable, new vision and empowerment that will last well beyond the scope of our lives.
